We’re pleased to announce an update for the pykolab packages, version 0.8.17.

This update is a bugfix release for Kolab 16, available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, CentOS 7, Debian 8, Debian 9, Ubuntu 16.04 and Ubuntu 18.04

The following issues are fixed:

Increase compatibility with Debian 10’s stock Cyrus IMAP package:
- Adding a setup option –mysqlhost,
- Adding a setup option –mysqlrootpw
- (This is preparation for future compatibility with Debian 10)
Ensure a missing setting isn’t treated as a string
Set default value of –max-tasks to None, which effectively makes pool workers work forever.

We’re pleased to announce an update for the roundcubemail-plugin-contextmenu packages, version 3.0.12

This update is a rebuild of the previous release for Kolab 16, available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, CentOS 7, Debian 8, Debian 9, Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 18.04, and for Plesk Premium Email version 16 for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, CentOS 7, Debian 8, Debian 9, Ubuntu 16.04 and Ubuntu 18.04.

It has been rebuilt against changes and updates to the Elastic skin, and is now compatible with Roundcube 1.4rc2

Automatic Email Signatures

In a time when email addresses did not always make sense, email signatures served the purpose of identifying the author to the recipient. As described in RFC1855 (Netiquette), it had to be short and to the point. Evolution has since driven the feature of signatures into new functionality and areas, like marketing and legal recognition. Today many organizations has strict rules for signatures, the content and the format, and some countries demand business mails to have certain text and statements included in the signature.

Kolab has an option to automate this feature, so that organizations can be assured that rules and appliance are followed.

We’re pleased to announce an update for the roundcubemail packages, version 1.4-rc1.221

This update is a bugfix and enhancement release for Kolab 16, available on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, CentOS 7, Debian 8, Debian 9, Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 18.04 and on Plesk Premium Email version 16 for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, CentOS 7, Debian 8, Debian 9, Ubuntu 16.04 and Ubuntu 18.04.

This package updates Roundcubemail to the upstream version 1.4-rc1.221, which, among other changes, fixes the following issues:

LDAP references to the UID used to case confusion in some situations. This has now been changed to clearly reference the user
Some cross-browser compatibility fixes for the responsive skin
The Next/Prev button in the responsive skin mail view didn’t work with multi-folder search. This has been fixed
Elastic: Fix visual issue with long buttons in .boxwarning
When pasting into the recipient line, the new-line was handled wrong. This has been fixed
Verified digital signatures now displays the user id associated with the sender address of the digital signature
A list of HKP key servers for PGP public key lookups in Enigma/Mailvelope can now be defined in config.inc.php.
- Default: $config[‘keyservers’] = array(“keys.fedoraproject.org”, “keybase.io”);
The unicode format has been changed to use the more modern IDNA2008 (http://www.unicode.org/faq/idn.html#5)
The selection of columns on the messages list wasn’t working. This has been fixed

We’re pleased to announce a further update for the kolab-webadmin packages, version 3.2.14.

This update is a bugfix release for Kolab 16, available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, CentOS 7, Debian 8, Debian 9, Ubuntu 16.04.

The following issues has been resolved in this version:

List the changes and refer to the source of the change where appropriate (tickets, etc.).

A defect caused the ‘Reset password’ website to hang and give ‘504 Gateway Time-out’. This has been fixed
‘user.password’ action is now added to the API
An error is now being logged when SQL DSN is empty
Performance were lagging when multiple email addresses were validated. This has been fixed
The domains list page size is now reset when used for internal checks

The following issues are fixed and changed:

T220027: “There are unsaved changes in the document that will be lost” warning is always show in collabora online editor, even if there aren’t any
The readonly (lock) icon on the folder lists in the responsive skin was moved to the left
The style for completed tasks on tasks lists in the responsive skin was fixed
Improvements and fixes for parts of Files UI on mobile in the responsive skin
Title text was added to truncated long folder names on folders lists in the responsive skin
Sizes of Database Tables was reduced
In some circumstance, documents could not be saved to the collaborative editing feature. This has been fixed

IMPORTANT: This version deduplicates caches for groupware objects. Larger deployments should take note that the dropping of cache table contents and associated payload may take a while during the update, and the rebuilding of cache will likely introduce an initial moderate resynchronisation delay to users when Kolab is first used after the update.

A groundless warning in the collaborative editing stated: “There are unsaved changes in the document that will be lost”. This has been fixed
When first viewing a file and then editing it in the collaborative editing, then the save button didn’t work. This has been fixed
The readonly/virtual entries in the Files folder selector is now showing as disabled
Folder Hierarchies are now showing more flat than before
Fix of a regression, where fileapi_backend_storage_disabled=true didn’t really disable listing folders from backend
Fix of file’s last modification time in the collaborative editing
Fix of a bug in distinguishing a file from a folder when using SabreDAV >= 3
In some circumstance, documents could not be saved in the collaborative editing feature. This has been fixed

The Check Calendar button was pointing to a wrong date. this has been fixed
The number of event occurrences when “checking an itip event in calendar” could run forever. This is now limited
Some color fixes in the calendar
Somtimes the key would be too long for the kolab_alarms table schema in MariaDB. This has been fixed
There was an issue creating and editing folders in the Task list. This has been fixed
