Update: pykolab 0.8.17

We’re pleased to announce an update for the pykolab packages, version 0.8.17.

This update is a bugfix release for Kolab 16, available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, CentOS 7, Debian 8, Debian 9, Ubuntu 16.04 and Ubuntu 18.04

The following issues are fixed:

  • Increase compatibility with Debian 10’s stock Cyrus IMAP package:
    • Adding a setup option –mysqlhost,
    • Adding a setup option –mysqlrootpw
    • (This is preparation for future compatibility with Debian 10)
  • Ensure a missing setting isn’t treated as a string
  • Set default value of –max-tasks to None, which effectively makes pool workers work forever.

Automatic Email Signatures

In a time when email addresses did not always make sense, email signatures served the purpose of identifying the author to the recipient. As described in RFC1855 (Netiquette), it had to be short and to the point. Evolution has since driven the feature of signatures into new functionality and areas, like marketing and legal recognition. Today many organizations has strict rules for signatures, the content and the format, and some countries demand business mails to have certain text and statements included in the signature.

Kolab has an option to automate this feature, so that organizations can be assured that rules and appliance are followed.

Update: pykolab 0.8.14

We’re pleased to announce an update for the pykolab packages, version 0.8.14.

This update is a bugfix release for Kolab 16, available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, CentOS 7, Debian 8, Debian 9, Ubuntu 16.04 and Ubuntu 18.04

The following issues are fixed:

  • An issue slowed down automatic drop and restart of Wallace, which in turn created troubles for installations with many users. This has been fixed

 

Update: kolab-webadmin 3.2.14

We’re pleased to announce a further update for the kolab-webadmin packages, version 3.2.14.

This update is a bugfix release for Kolab 16, available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, CentOS 7, Debian 8, Debian 9, Ubuntu 16.04.

The following issues has been resolved in this version:

List the changes and refer to the source of the change where appropriate (tickets, etc.).

  • A defect caused the ‘Reset password’ website to hang and give ‘504 Gateway Time-out’. This has been fixed
  • ‘user.password’ action is now added to the API
  • An error is now being logged when SQL DSN is empty
  • Performance were lagging when multiple email addresses were validated. This has been fixed
  • The domains list page size is now reset when used for internal checks

We’re pleased to announce an update for the roundcubemail-plugins-kolab packages, version 3.4.3.

This update is a bugfix release for Kolab 16, available for CentOS 7, Debian 8, Debian 9, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, Ubuntu 16.04 and Ubuntu 18.04, and Plesk Premium Email version 16 for CentOS 7, Debian 8, Debian 9, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, Ubuntu 16.04 and Ubuntu 18.04.

The following issues are fixed and changed:

  • When using unsupported (old) view type ‘table’, the calendar UI was broken. This has been fixed
  • When kolabDescAttribute contained non-JSON-formatted values, the calendar was broken. This has been fixed
  • The all-day event date in calendar invitation box was presented wrong. this has been fixed
  • The Check Calendar button was pointing to a wrong date. this has been fixed
  • The number of event occurrences when “checking an itip event in calendar” could run forever. This is now limited
  • Some color fixes in the calendar
  • Somtimes the key would be too long for the kolab_alarms table schema in MariaDB. This has been fixed
  • There was an issue creating and editing folders in the Task list. This has been fixed

Update: roundcubemail-1.4-rc1.167

We’re pleased to announce an update for the roundcubemail packages, version 1.4-rc1.167

This update is a bugfix and enhancement release for Kolab 16, available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, CentOS 7, Debian 8, Debian 9, Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 18.04 and for Plesk Premium Email version 16 for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, CentOS 7, Debian 8, Debian 9, Ubuntu 16.04 and Ubuntu 18.04.

This package updates Roundcubemail to the upstream version 1.4-rc1.133, which, among other changes, fixes the following issues:

  • The Safari toolbar was skewed. This has been fixed
  • The iOS toolbar was skewed. This has been fixed
  • The toolbar in IE11 was skewed. This has been fixed
  • Memcached issues where the same server was added multiple times
  • TinyMCE buttons were skewed. This has been fixed
  • Managesieve_default could be presented as a directory. This has been fixed.
  • Drafts were not deleted after the message was sent. This has been fixed
