We’re pleased to announce a further update for the iRony packages, version 0.4.1.
This update is a bugfix release for Kolab 16, available for CentOS 7, Debian 8, Debian 9, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 and Ubuntu 16.04, and Plesk Premium Email version 16 for Plesk 17 on CentOS 7, Debian 8, Debian 9, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 and Ubuntu 16.04.
Issues Resolved
We have become aware that the iRony package for RPM-based distributions did not have its web server configuration file /etc/httpd/conf.d/iRony.conf
marked as a configuration file to not be replaced should it have been altered.
Should this file have been modified by the server administrator(s) to, for example, serve *DAV services on a path /dav/
instead of the default /iRony/
, then an updated package would override this change and cause CalDAV, CardDAV and WebDAV functionality to no longer be provided at the location it is expected, and therefore appear to not work anymore.
NOTE: If you have modified /etc/httpd/conf.d/iRony.conf
before, you will need to take the precautions to ensure your changes are preserved. These are listed below.
There is unfortunately no way for us to get you back your previous configuration file, in case you already updated with the previous package.
Furthermore we had dropped vendorized libraries in the previous update to the iRony package, but without ensuring compatible versions of the system packages required were installed. The updated package will pull in the correct versions of php-sabre-dav, php-sabre-event, php-sabre-http and php-sabre-vobject.
We have created, tested and published a new package, which will no longer overwrite the configuration file in future package updates, and require the appropriate dependencies.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Preserving a Modified Version of /etc/httpd/conf.d/iRony.conf
To preserve the contents of /etc/httpd/conf.d/iRony.conf
, before applying this update, copy off or move the file to /etc/httpd/conf.d/iRony.conf.backup
. Then, after updating the package with “yum update”, move /etc/httpd/conf.d/iRony.conf.backup
back to /etc/httpd/conf.d/iRony.conf
and reload the httpd service.
